Heritage Week

APF Heritage Week is an annual celebration of Pakistan's rich history, culture, traditions, and identity, held each August in recognition of Pakistan's Independence Day. Through a series of virtual conversations and community events, Heritage Week seeks to foster a deeper appreciation of Pakistan's cultural legacy while strengthening the connection between Pakistani Americans and their roots. The initiative provides a space for meaningful dialogue across generations, encouraging participants to explore the stories, values, languages, arts, and traditions that continue to shape the Pakistani experience.

Each year, APF brings together distinguished scholars, authors, journalists, entrepreneurs, artists, and community leaders to share diverse perspectives on Pakistan's heritage and its evolving place in the world. Previous Heritage Week programming has explored topics including Pakistani identity, language and literature, entrepreneurship, culture, and the experiences of the Pakistani diaspora. Speakers have included thought leaders such as Nilofar Farrukh, Raza Rumi, Shahnaz Ramzi, Adil Najam, and others, whose conversation on identity and belonging resonated strongly with audiences navigating life between multiple cultures. By highlighting voices from across disciplines, Heritage Week celebrates the richness and diversity of Pakistani heritage while inspiring the next generation to preserve, embrace, and contribute to the community's evolving story.
