2022 APF Service Award for Community Empowerment

 
 

The American Pakistan Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the APF Service Award for Community Empowerment which goes to individuals who have volunteered their time, networks, and resources towards the advancement and implementation of the APF mission with a special focus on community empowerment.

Strategic Communications & Research

We thank the following awardees for producing important research, analytical, and communications content for APF’s digital platforms. They created relevant content such as the APF Research Spotlight, blog posts on Punjabi language and Ramzan traditions, and authored the important APF report on the connectivity of the Pakistani American community to Pakistan.

 
 
 

Digital Strategy & Branding

We thank the following awardees for providing their expertise towards the development of APF’s digital platforms and brand. Their efforts contributed to APF’s strong social media presence of nearly 90,000 followers across its Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter platforms.

 
 
 

Covid Education

We thank the following awardees for their efforts to increase awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines among Pakistani Americans based in New York City and in Chicago. Civic Engagement

We thank the following awardees for creating and implementing the numerous activities under the APF Get Out The Vote campaign during the 2020 U.S. presidential election cycle. The awardees hosted webinars, ran social media campaigns, produced art and marketing materials, and ran voter education efforts across the United States. Building Bridges

We thank the following awardees for their efforts to build bridges between the United States through participating in and hosting exchange opportunities for the APF Pakistan Fellows Program and the APF U.S. Foreign Policy Fellowship. We especially thank APF partners Sehat Kahani, a Pakistan-based telemedicine startup, and The Atlantic Council South Asia Center, a think tank based in Washington D.C., for hosting the APF Pakistan Fellows.

 
 
 

Community Empowerment

We thank the following awardees for their efforts to empower communities affected by the economic impact of the pandemic. The awardees are responsible for launching the APF Restaurant Guide which promotes Pakistani American restaurants across the United States.
